On Behalf of the Inlet Condominium Association I would like to personally extend our gratitude for the truly professional job you did in supplying and installing over 250 casement windows and 8 doors during our Condominium Restoration Project. You and your installation crew already have received verbal thanks from many of our owners. The speed in which you and your team delivered and installed these windows – with out sacrificing quality – protected us from the 2006 hurricane season. Your product was the only window we could find that had documented laboratory test results showing the capability to withstand over 80 pounds per square foot (PSF) simulated hurricane wind driven rain pressure with out allowing water penetration. Your nearest competitors (although offering, in some cases, wind force resistance greater than that representing a category 3 hurricane) would not offer the greater than 16 1/2 PSF water penetration resistance. As you are aware, this equates to your strongest competitors’ fenestration allowing wind driven rain water penetration during a 90 MPH hurricane while the window you provide us would prevent water penetration even though a 125MPH hurricane. This feature, among many other quality aspects of your product, was critical in our selection process. Being a 124 unit, 20 story luxury ocean front condominium, preservation of the contents and interiors of the apartment is of paramount importance. This is especially the case since insurance companies have stated that they will not cover damages resulting from the penetration of wind driven rain water, particularly if the window glass or frame is no damaged.
