Florida’s hurricane season begins on June 1 and ends on November 30, with an increase that runs from August to early October, the time when Atlantic waters are typically warmer.

Colorado State University predicted that the 2021 Atlantic hurricane season will feature 17 named storms, of which eight will become hurricanes and four will be high-category (Category 3 or greater) hurricanes.
